We will spend this week harvesting perfectly ripe veggies from our fields and then making delicious, fresh dishes to share! Campers will explore concepts such as seasonality, flavor and color balancing, use of fresh herbs, and more! There will also be time spent helping the farmers with their work weeding, composting, and harvesting. The 9-12 year olds will work with Chef Key and learn basic culinary skills such as working with a knife, making sauces, working with various ingredients, and presentation considerations. Campers will go home with a hand-made cookbook, an open mind to fresh food, and loads of kitchen skills. On Friday, families will be invited to join us as we share the food that we made together!
